Help is gone.

After running 'repair' from the MS reinstallation CD, when
I go to 'start'/'help and support'/'index', the window
which opens is blank on the left side instead of the usual
list of available topics. What can I do to get help back?
Thanks.

If the above repair does not work:

Go to Start > Run and type in: helpctr -regserver

To reinstall Help and Support:

Go to C:\Windows\inf\pchealth.inf.
Right-click and choose install. Have your Windows XP CD available.

Note: The folder is hidden by default. Go to Start > Run and type in:
control folders. View: Show hidden files and folders and uncheck
"Hide extensions for known file types".

Sorry, but that didn't help. When I followed the first
step of Doug Knox's a window appeared that said that it
had repaired some damage. When I followed the second step
of "Run and type in: helpctr -regserver", nothing appeared
to happen. Then I followed the third step and files
appeared to be copied. However the problem is still there,
that is there is no index. Any more ideas? Thanks so far.
