help installing/uninstalling sound card

I installed my soundcard (audigy2zs), had problems, so I uninstalled it, but halfway through the uninstallation, it stopped with an error 0x80040201 an event was unable to invoke any of the subscribers. now I can't repair, modify, unistall it or anything, I keep getting this same error. could someone please help me!!! thanks

try funning f8 safe mode on boot up and deleting that way or clean files whilst in safe mode, hope this help

I tried that but it still gives me an error when I try to remove it in the add/remove programs, anybody else have any other suggestions,,, I really appreciate all your help.
