Hi
At home I'm running Windows Me with IE 6.0.2800.1106
When I tried to open this page: http://library.southern.edu/~rsmiller/aatrade20/index.php IE treated it as if index.php was a Microsoft Picture It! file and tried to open it (obviously, unsuccessfully)
I uninstalled Picture It! (a little extreme but hey) but IE still thinks index.php is a file to download, and doesn't recognize the .php extension. I get the MS "File Download" pop-up window that says
"Some files can harm your computer. If the file information below looks suspicious, or you do not fully trust the file source, do not open or save this file
File name: Index.ph
File type: PHP fil
From: library.southern.ed
Would you like to open or save it to your computer?
Then I have the options to Open, Save, Cancel, or More Info (which doesn't provide anything informative) At the bottom is a checked check box for "Always ask before opening this type of file.
I've tried to Save or Open the file, but I get errors. (I'll post them if someone wants.
I've gone over my Internet Settings carefully and made them more permissive but it didn't seem to help
I'd think the problem was with the website except - and here's the kicker - I've accessed it without any trouble from my school computer running Windows XP and IE (probably the most recent)
Please help!
