HELP!! I can't convert my WMV file to myDVD

I really need help. I have to complete this movie by
Friday 4-16, and can't turn back now. I have created a
movie on windows movie maker 2 made up of all .bmp images
with music overlaying it. I purchased sonic MyDVD 5.2 to
burn the movie to a dvd, but the sonic program won't
allow me to burn the movie. My movie is saved in "My
Videos" under 'all files'. When i try to open it, it
says "Couldn't complete last command because this is not
a valid MyDVD project file (DVD Err,-48004)". I have
another program that goes with the external dvd drive i
bought for my laptop it is called Pinnacle instant CD/DVD
this program lets me drag the movie into its recording
screen. When i try to record this it the MSWMM file
could not be opened. Please help me as soon as you
can!!!!!!!!!!

The MSWMM file is the project file. It's not a video.
You need to save your movie to your computer in either
DV-AVI or WMV format (DV-AVI is best). Then import
that file into MyDVD.

File | Save Movie... makes the movie file.

In the save movie wizard you either want to save a 2.1Mbit WMV file, or a
DV-AVI file and then MyDVD will work fine. The choices are under the 'show
more options' link on the page that says it has chosen a reccomended
bitrate - though the recommended bitrate may be low for a DVD if you want it
to be as high quality as you can make it.

Did you ever get an answer to your question? I am also having a problem converting my movie maker project and burning it to a DVD. I have My DVD 2 and was considering upgrading to My DVD 5.2, but it sounds like it isn't working much better. I can't get it to transfer back to a video tape either. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them. Le
