HELP! How to have inserted pictures automatically maximized.....

J

Jake

Hi,

When I start a new presentation with no template and insert a picture,
it fills about two-thirds of the slide area.

I want the inserted picture to be automatically maximized to cover the
whole slide area to the edges. How can I have pictures cover the whole
slide area without manually resizing and reposition them (which takes
too long time...)

Powerpoint 2003

Thanks for hints and comments

Hi Jake,

To me, the easiest way is to do it via a Photo Album and set your images to
import at full size:

http://www.pptworkbench.com/html/photo_albums.htm

Else, the free Starter Set has an image resize tool, except you have to do
it for each image. But it is handy to have on your toolbar for other sues:

If the photo album methods don't suit you, remember the CTRL shortcut.
Import your photo then CTRL Drag the corner, very quick to manually size out
to full screen. Inserted pictures default to centre(center) of slide.

Re Glen's reply, you can find more specifics about how to do this with the free
PPTools StarterSet add-in here:

TIP: Resize images to fit the slide

Hi Jake.

This works for me in PowerPoint 2002:

When starting to assemble the pictures, INSERT | NEW SLIDE | FORMAT |
BACKGROUND | click on the arrow for drop-down menu | select FILL EFFECTS |
PICTURE tab | click SELECT PICTURE | click on name of desired picture |
INSERT | check "Lock Aspect Ratio" | OK | APPLY.
NOTE: Part of picture may be cut off by using this method to re-size, but it
is quick and easy and fills the whole slide area.

Good Luck! Please let us now if it works for you.
