HELP-How to fire event when item is created, modified or deleted

Hi. I am new here and need help with programming in OUTLOOK. What I need to do is to write an event that fires when an item (PostItem) is created, modified or deleted in a Public Folder. I need to so when this happens, I will grab information from that item and post it in a SQL database.

Can someone help out in creating this event?
