HELP - Form Error - Blank Page

John

Hi,

I am testing this on a Windows XP - Pro machine with IIS 5.1 with FP
extensions. (I know that they are installed since the seach function works
correctly.)

I have created a page using the Form Page Wizard which writes that data to a
Tab delimited text file. The data get correctly written to the file, but a
blank page is displayed with the following URL:

http://custsys-xp/nps/_vti_bin/shtml.dll/test_form.htm

Any suggestions?

The url is defective.
1. _vti_bin is not a valid "public" folder
2. shtml.dll/test_form.htm is not a valid file path,
as shtml.dll is not a folder, it is a Dynamic Link Library file.

Try placing test_form in the _private folder

Steve,

The form needs to be in the public folder since it will be completed by
people using the web site.

oops
You're right. I was thinking, of the saved form results.

However, the url is still defective.

Where did you originally create the form??
I'm puzzled as to why the form page
wizard would create the file path that you
posted, especially if it is the path to the
actual form page / data entry page.!!!

You might want to clear it and make a new one.

Agreed. But is was generated by the Form Page Wizard.

Any other thoughts?

I created it in the root directory. I have also tried to create a new
page/form and I get the same result every time.
