Help- Forced Standby

Hi Everyone,

I am running Windows XP security pack 2 on a Dell Dimension desktop computer.

I installed a screensaver and every time my screensaver comes on, it forces
my computer into ‘Standby’ mode- making me choose an account and log into
Windows to resume.

In my power settings, I have my power scheme to “Always Onâ€; have System
Standby set to “never†and Enable Hibernate unchecked. I can also not find
any other type of secondary power setting program running that would override
the Windows power settings I have set up.

Any ideas on how I can get it to stop going into standby mode, besides
disabling my screensaver, which I like and do not want to get rid of?

Thanks,
Brian

Control Panel/Display/Screensaver tab, uncheck the option "on resume display
welcome screen".
Control Panel/Power Options/Advance tab, uncheck the option "prompt for
password when computer resumes from standby".

Seems like a clear cut cause and effect. Contact the screen saver
vendor. They might have some resolution.
