Forgive my ignorance; how would I go about creating a custom help file for
my application?

Is there a third-party editor I need to get, or can I design it as a Word
document/html/some other file type?

Thanks!
Joe

Tony Toews has a slightly outdated introduction to the topic at
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/accshelp.htm

Remember that "a custom help file" is a relative thing. A Word document can
certainly provide all of the information required, although you won't be
able to do advanced things like letting the users hit F1 in a field and get
context-sensitive help for that field.

Hi Joe,

I'm not sure if this one is on Tony's list or not.
You could download the new Shalom help utility from the following site:

http://www.danish-shareware.dk/soft/shelpm/index.html

I was creating my own Help files in just a few minutes with this utility.
