Working with Outlook 2007 and I was adding new names and I highlighted a name
and hit X and erased the whole distribuition list. Also did it to another
list with about 150 names without realizing. I don't think I am using
Exchange. Is there anyway to recover this list?

A secretary in our school did this same thing and the list is not in the
Deleted Items folder. Is there any other way to get it back?? She does have
some older backups of the directory which would include the pst file - what
do I do with the pst file to recover the distribution list? It has been my
experience that the lists do not get exported when you export to a pst file!

Use File>Open>Outlook Data File to open the backup PST to see if it contains
the DL. NEVER export to a PST. Exporting does NOT make a faithful copy of
the original PST.
