Les

While installing dot net framework, I received the following
message from Mcafee firewall:

ComSurrogate is a malicious trojan and we have
automatically blocked the following application from running
- dllhost.exe (system32 folder)

I later informed it that this was a MS app and told MPF to
allow access. Recheck that app and tell me if it is indeed
a 'trojan-like app'.

Also tell me how that got in there??

Hi,

Dllhost.exe in the \windows\system32 folder is normal.

Dllhost.exe in the \windows\system32\wins folder is not.

Try a manual scan of the file with an antivirus program other than Mccrappy,
er Mcafee.
