Help choosing new VideoCard

Hi folks,
I currently have a Core2Duo E6700 system with Intel DG965 intergrated
graphic & 1G DDR667. My Vista graphic score is 3.0. Aeroglass and 3D
flip do work, but not always when I load too many programs.

I can watch DVD movie fine with Intel Intergrated graphic, but I now
want to watch on my big screen TV. This is a 5 yr old Mitsubishi that
is capable of 480p/1080i, and only has analog video input via 3
cables, and S-video, no HDMI port.

I am thinking about buying a Nvidia card 7000 series. I don't know
which one to buy. I am not a gamer.

Should I go with 7600 GS 256M, 7600GT 512M, or 7800 GS 256M? Their
price are between 100-$140 on line. The 7600GS does not have a fan so
it would be very quiet. How noisy is the other model? My CPU fan is at
17dB and I don't want any more noise.

Thanks in advance.

Do not buy an nVidia card, at least if you're planning on buying it within
the next couple of months. Things will probably be worse than your existing
setup. You only need to spend five minutes reading through some posts here
to find why.

I'd recommend something like an ATI Radeon X1600 or X1300, or even the 9550.
Depending on how much you want to spend.

Putting in an extra gig of ram would be higher priority imho

Actually an extra Gig of ram is on its way but it does not give me the
1080i video output I need.

One thing to note, as you go up the performance scale for video cards,
the amount of heat generated by the GPU and memory increases
significantly. So you may find that to get a decent video adapter (say
the ATI radeon 1300 or 1600 some are suggesting, you really will need a
good heatsink and fan on the card AND good air flow in the system over
the long haul.

The thing is, I've seen way too many mid range (and even high end)
video adapters with TOO CHEAP fans -- which fail or simply run loud.
