Help! Can't get presentation to behave!

Okay....have giganto presentation that has slides from several different
presentations made by different people in one. One person used
placeholders...I don't like to, how do I override all formatting and use my
own. I go in and change the fonts formatting on the individual slides, close
the presentation and when I open it again, the formatting is back to what I
thought was the master. Well I went in and deleted all the masters and that
did no good. I just want the formatting I specify on each slide to remain
intact...this thing has like 150 slides.

Sorry, I answered my own question after reading other posts....WHAT A NOVEL
IDEA! I simply made my changes for the 5th time and then before I saved,
copied every slide to a new presentation using keep source formatting and it
worked like a charm....
