Help...can't access Microsoft website

L

Lee

I cannot access any of the MS web pages. There are a few
other websites, e.g. bank site, which I can't reach either.

Current software:
Internet Explorer 6 (Latest update),
Windows XP w/SP2,
Nortons SystemWorks,
Spybot Search & Destroy,
AdAware,
Spyware Blaster,
Google Pop-up blocker toolbar,
Yahoo DSL,
Wireless Linksys router.

Disabling spyware programs, pop-up blocker and Nortons
doesn't allow me access either. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Lee

Have you made any changes (upgrades etc) to your computer recently? Could
this be a sp2 issue?

Set your coolies to ALL and your security to Medium of Medium Low, clear all
cookies, temp and temp internet folders, recent folders and history.

I've recently added the wireless linksys router. Same
access problem experiences on a second XP computer
connected to the router.

May be firewall settings on the router.

Could be DNS and/or DHCP problems with the router.

Run - CMD and enter nbtstat /? at the prompt and see if any of the
information listed using the varying switches will help. Maybe (?) -R
or -RR ?
