HELP! bluetooth installation prgm needed first

i have been asked to install bluetooth, but no such software exists in my
computer.
the device manager is working fine but once i have picked up any nearby
devices it then asks that i 'install the peripheral bluetooth device using
the installation cd or available software.'

your recommendation is greatly appreciated.

If no special software for the Bluetooth devices you are trying to use came
with them then possibly you don't need to install any.
When I installed a Bluetooth mouse all I had to do was push the reset button
on the bottom of the mouse when asked to using the Vista Bluetooth built in
device manager software. I never had to install any other software and the
mouse started working.

thanks JW for the recommendation. the advice you gave me, which is also the
same advice given by 'help' conflicts with how i finally managed to install
the hardware. >control panel>add hardware>follow instructions.
