help and support service gets error 126

I have win-xp with sp3 installed. I recently tried to use the help and
support and nothing happened. I checked the service and it was not started.
When I so start it, I get:

Could not start the Help and Support service on Local Computer.

Error 126: The specified module could not be found.

Problem is, it doesn't state what module. I have tried some of the
suggestions, but nothing seems to help.
Any suggestions??

Give this a try to see if you have any missing system files.

Open a command prompt.

Type sfc /scannow
It will scans the integrity of all protected system files and repairs the
system files if needed.

I tried what you suggested and I got this:

Windows File Protection could not initiate a scan of protected system
files.

The specific error code is 0x000006ba [The RPC server is unavailable.].

Well, I tried all of that, and the help and support still does not work and
it still gets that same error.

So you tried all the fixes and a repair install and nothing worked??
Well the only thing left to do is a clean install. Backup your data and
start over.
