Help absolute cell reference problem

Scott

I have a master workbook with three worksheets; a summary worksheet and two
detailed data worksheets.
The summary worksheet currently has formulas that contain relative
references to the other two worksheets.
I would like to be able to copy the summary worksheet to other workbooks but
keep the referencing within the new workbook.
When I copy the summary worksheet now the formulas reference the data
worksheets in the original workbook.

ie. Workbook "1" has the summary worksheet "A" and data worksheets "B" and
"C"

I create workbook "2" which has new data worksheets but are still called
"B"and "C"
I want to copy summary worksheet "A" from workbook "1" to workbook "2" and
reference worksheets "B" and "C" in workbook "2". (Currently when I copy
worksheet "A" it still references data worksheets "B" and "C" in workbook
"1")

Can I do this?

I have played with absolute referencing but this only seems to lock the cell
reference, not the worksheet reference.

Thanks in advance..

You can (after copying the worksheet) change your link in file 2 : Edit /
Links / Select links and Change Source / Browse for folder where File 2 is
saved and link to that (effectively you are thus linking the file to
itself).
