Help about the timer in the taskbar

I have Windows XP Professional
Is it possible to see the seconds, in the timer of the taskbar, replacing
the usual hh:mm format and vice-versa.
I do not want to install any adicional timmer program. Sometimes I try to
make simple measures of certains programs tasks and it would be usefull.
Can you guys help me? Thanks very much.

The "time" in the Taskbar (bottom of the Windows screen) is not a
timer. It displays the current time and date.
