my Graphic card shows only 32Mb, i have 128Mb geforce4 mx
440. i've installed latest driver, i've tried to remove
the driver first and then install the new driver, still no
progress..... what's going on? help me pls....

Also, why make a whole new post about this? You already made one post
earlier and it is still an active topic. As I said in the other post
(which you can find), remove the device from Device Manager and remove
all drivers from Add/Remove Programs and reboot. This I did not
mention, but you can try it too. Download and use this program to clean
up the drivers after you uninstall them:

ooops.... sorry, i thought nobody will ever see my topic
so i post it again. yep i did that, uninstall n reboot,
the NFR, nope... nothing... still 32 mb. well, no problem
when playing games though. thx

Last thing. When you boot up your computer, are you able to see the info
about the video card? What does it say? You can also try checking to
see if your BIOS allows you to repost Video on Resume from S3 state to
see what the Video BIOS says.

when i bott up my computer, it says 128mb
one more thing, where can i see my video bios? pls, coz
i'm a noob, sorry

The video BIOS sometimes shows before the Motherboard POST Screen. The
128 MB it said at startup wasn't your System RAM was it? Use Everest
Home from www.lavalys.com to see all the REAL info about your computer.
You may have 128 MB of System RAM and only 32 MB of Video RAM and the
two got mixed up previously.

oooow, the black screen with some writings right? it's all
about my graphic card info. really, honest.... it shows
that i have 128Mb there.

on everest home edition, in display tab, it shows 32 Mb,
but on direct x display tab it tells 131071Kb available
nonlocal memory and 29504Kb available local video memory

anyway, there are no geforce4 mx that has 32 Mb, all have
64Mb minimum memory, and my card is 128 Mb.
when i used windows ME, it still showed 128Mb.

Can you do this? Click Start-Run-Type DXDIAG and click OK. Now go to
the Display tab, and press Alt+Control+PrtScn (print screen). Now open
MS Paint, click Edit, then Paste. Now save this file as picture.jpg
*JPEG* is important. Where it says, Save as Type, click the down arrow
and select JPEG. Now attach that file as a follow up to this post.
Also, maybe try installing the lastest version of DirectX before you try
this and see if that fixes anything. There was a new version released
recently that isn't even on Windows Update yet as it is planned to be
released with Service Pack 2. Here is the link to download DirectX 9.0c:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/0/d/80d7e79d-c0e4-415a-bcca-e229eafe2679/dxwebsetup.exe

how on earth can i attach the pic? hint please, coz i
don't see any "attachment" button

Ye Gads! Right click on message, respond to group > on the message form
opened you will see an "Insert" option in the menu bar (File, Edit, View,
Insert...) then choose to insert file. Point the resulting window to where
you stored the saved Jpeg file, select it and it will be attached to your
response.

Good Luck,
Len

Ah, you can't with the online newsgroups. Sorry, posting attachments
requires Outlook Express or something else.
