I just installed Windows XP and every time I use the explorer to view
a directory with movies (.avi and .mpg) it crashes.

I seen this on 3 systems before so it must be a known bug. Does anyone
know how to fix it?

Not a good subject line. Please consult

Disable the thumbnail view, delete any damaged movie files and install
SP2 if not already done.

That's not normal and may happen when movie files are damaged as already
mentioned in my first reply.

No problems here (see above).

I am looking above but I dont understand. I have completed SP2 but
explorer crash 5 times per day taking the nvidia icon with it so I
need to restart if I am going to change rez or do something else in
terms of graphical.

Once again, if this happens while you (cited from your original post)
"use the explorer to view a directory with movies (.avi and .mpg)"
then read my first reply since installing SP2 was just one of the
steps to be performed. Otherwise you may want to open a new thread,
repost your problem and describe the exact circumstances when this
problem occurs. Good luck.
