header positioning

Looks like my header in excel defaults to .75inches. How
can I change this?

If you're referring to the left and right margins of the Header or Footer,
these cannot be changed.

You can pad them out with spaces to get more margin, but not less.

I don't know, but mine (Excel2000) defaults to 1.3 cm (just over hal
an inch).
So obviously 0.75 in is not a fixed quantity...

The fixed quantity would be a function of your printer driver, so I assume it
will vary from printer to printer.

Fact remains.......you cannot change the setting through any Excel function.
