Folks,
I have a problem with the "Low Disk Space" popup flashing every few
minutes. System is a XP Pro, Pentium 3, 128MB RAM.
I had left webcams and microphones switched on when I am not around the
house to listen to sounds and pickup suspected window prowlers.
I am running Intel's Create & Share Software for the purpose and today I
had about 7 hours of footage [uneventful, I may add...]. But once I got
back and scrutinised the recorded data, I didnt save it and removed it.
But the HDD [My Comp+Properties] says that I have only 14MB left [99%+
usage] when I should have something in the range of 14GB.
I performed disk cleanup, ran a full defrag in Safe Mode and even tried
restarting - the HDD space fluctuates upto 140MB and then back to 14 -
15 MB.
Interestingly I tried installing some applications which takeup around
50MB of space, they install fine without problems, but the space left on
HDD remains the same.
How do I get back the GB's I know are there on my drive? At present my
RAM is bigger than the Hard Disk :-(
