HDD Capacity???

When I try to go in my computer management Volume(C:) The
total capacity registered is only 7.81GB while in the Disk
0 (Basic) below shown a total drive capacity is 16.90 GB.
I try to check and verify I can only save up to 7.81GB of
data in my drive C:\ where did the other extra space go
and how can I merge it back to (C:\)

Is there "Uanallocated space" listed for the drive in question? If
so, add that to what C will handle and you should have the total
listed...

You likely have unallocated space (space that wasn't included when C: was
created.) You have two easy options:

a) Get Partition Magic or a similar utility to extend C: to span the whole
drive.

b) Use W2K's Disk Manager to create a partition in the unused space, and
format it. This will then show as a new "drive." You can use it to store your
data - all apps can be set to store their data in a separate folder. (If an
app won't do this, it's fatally flawed IMO, and I won't use it.) When (not
if, unfortunately) you need to repair W2K, your data will be safe, since it
will be on a different drive. There is no reason whatever to have a single
partition using the whole drive, and many good reasons two have two or more
partitions.
