Hi;

im having problems trying to access a hard drive (a 160Gb Hitachi
DESKSTAR ), the hard drive is partitioned in two, before the problem,
Windows XP says that both partitions were dynamic and let me access them
trough units M and N...

now the disk manager says there is only one BASIC partition and when i try
to access the hard drive windows says that it doesnt have format.

what can i do?!

Yep. And don't use dynamic disks unless you have a solid backup
strategy in place.

File Scavenger claims to be able to recover files from a dynamic disk.

Not free. The demo will show but not recover. Initial testing shows it
works on a spanned dynamic disk. I haven't tried it on a stripped volume.
