Hd, burner, master/slave ribbon config questions..

I need to install a new burner and was wondering how I should set it. I never really did get that whole thing. Right now my config
is this(I think): HD is master and plugged into primary IDE on MB. I have a SCSI cdrom/burner(old Teac)plugged into a PCI scsi card
and think its set as slave. I have another HD( one for music) plugged into the secondary IDE on the MB(not sure of setting).
Could I run both HD's off the same ribbon? Can someone tell me how I should config these as far as what should share a ribbon and
what setting(master, slave) it should be set at?

Thanks again,
Ron

Hi Ron. Set your First (OS) drive as Master and add the second as Slave
On the first ribbon cable. Check the back of the drives for the config.

OR set first drive on master on first ribbon cable, and on the second
ribbon,
make your burner the Master, and your Music drive the Slave.

Just 2 of your options.
best wishes..OJ

Ok I got that hooked up and now my new burner has a flashing green light. I think it may be a PS problem as if I unhook my other
cdrom it works just fine. I'm using a Enermax 330w supply. It's powering a cd burner/dvd burner, 2 HD's, a floppy drive, and two
fans, not to mention the power going to the MB. Is this too taxing you think or is something else wrong?
