"IP Routing Enabled" in ipconfig /all shows "No" when ICS is not working and
"Yes" when it is.

Only relevant sounding events I could see in the log are below. Thanks for
any further pointers you can provide...

Thanks for those results, Andy.

IP routing must be enabled for ICS to work. Make sure that the
"Routing and Remote Access" service is running on the host computer:

1. Right click My Computer, and click Manage.
2. Double click Services and Applications.
3. Double click Services.
4. Double click "Routing and Remote Access". If the Service status is
Stopped, click Start.
5. Set the Startup type to Automatic.

Does that solve the problem?

Hi i'm havn similar probs too.
I have followed the aforementioned instructions to ensure
that ICS is autmotically activated at startup, yet it
fails to initialise an Internet Gateway even when ICS is
selected to share the dial-up connection.

Is there anyway to manually (not via any wizard) setup an
Internet Gateway on the Host so it is accessible/useable
from the client machines?

I have run the Network Setup wizards on all machines,
setting the ICS machine as a host - yet no Internet
Gateway is viewable on any of the clients.
I have tried seting up one of the client machines as a
host and the gateway appears on the other two machines as
normal and works fine, but this is no good to me as the
desktop machine needs to be the ICS Gateway.

Pls help.
Gordy
