Having problems....

J

Janet Costidell

I wanted to update my club website, I was using the Expedition theme, but in
line with a new logo, wanted to change the look to complement it.

1. I cannot get the custom link bars to publish (I'm using FP 2003 on a
Lycos webhosting package). I am quite happy to use theme link bars, but
cannot find out how to change the text on them to gold.

2. The banner with the logo on looks different on my work PC than my home
one, and I am running out of ideas of how to rectify things. I have toyed
with modifying a theme to match the current appearance, but cannot work out
how to make a banner with my logo that will appear (without looking strange)
on each page, using the navigation structure (i.e. having the page name on
the banner), although this isn't essential, but if it's the only way I get
the link bars to work, so be it. Site is www.flintanddenbighrc.com

Can anyone help a despondent novice?

you might try.....

Format
Theme
Modify
Colors
Custom Tab
from drop down menu..... navigation text

Have you tried shared borders?

Of course, many here will rightly share with you that css is the way to go.
Personally I would agree and stay away from shared boarders with a
passion... not sure why.... I just do.

There are lots of places to learn about css on the web and it is really not
that difficult if you will put some work into it. AND... it will be a great
skill to have.

Best to you.......
