Having folder show delete x

How can I get the folders to show the big red delete X among choices?

Open a folder and click on a file or folder.

X Delete this folder or X Delete this file only appear in the Tasks pane
under File and Folder Tasks when you actually select a file or a folder.

If the Common Tasks pane does not appear in folders, open Folder Options...
Start | Run | Type: control folders | Click OK |
General tab | Select: Show common tasks in folders |
Click Apply | Click OK

computer are displayed in folders. These links appear in the left pane of
the folder window.]]

Thank you Wes for your reply. Actually I found the simple explanation myself.
Opened folder, then view, then toolbars, customixe and then add big red x
delete.

OK, I gotcha. Glad you figured it out. I didn't think of that.

You could have asked: How can I add the Delete button to my folders toolbar?

I either right click a file or folder and then click Delete.

Or select file(s) and folder(s) and hit the Delete key on my keyboard.

Many ways to skin cat.
