Having a set size and position for Word at startup

Hello,

I'm wondering if there is a way to have Word automatically come up with a
specific size in a specific location on my screen.

Specifically, I work with a translation program called Trados that has a
small box at the top - you have to size Word to fit in the remaining screen
each time (same size and position all the time, though).

Sometimes Word comes up with the proper size, but at the top of the screen,
sometimes it doesn't even have the correct size, and it always has to be
adjusted - I also use Word for other things, so the sizing is changed.

Thanks in advance for any tips !

Hi Michael

As I understand it, Windows remembers the size of each application's window,
and opens it in the same state that you closed it in. However, between
sessions, it will remember the 'non-maximized' size and position. So what
you need to do is to size and position the Word window and then close Word.
In future sessions you may *only* leave it exactly as it is, or double-click
the blue bar at the top of the window to maximize the window. As long as you
never make any other change, Windows should open Word as you left it, and
you can maximize or not as you choose.

Hope this helps.
