I am trying to determine if this is an issue that anyone has ever seen or I
am loosing my mind. As we all know if you type a URL to your browser such as
www.nbc.com Internet Explorer automatically completes the full address as
HTTP://www.nbc.com. It appears this is not happening with IE as a result the
page is not opening as expected. If I provide the HTTP:// the site opens
correctly. I have tested it on another WinXP SP2 machine and it works
properly. I am not sure if this is an option that can be turned on/off
within IE? I have looked everywhere but found nothing. I can't find any
other reason or explanation as to why it would not complete the HTTP://
webaddress.com and then open the page requested. I am positive it has in the
past and only noticed this issue this morning.

Is there something I am missing or a setting change?
Thank you-

I am having the same issue. I have not been able to locate an option where I
turn this feature on/off. Seems to have occured after a Microsoft update
yesterday.
