Have unwanted lines under some data pasted from Excel into Word.

I pasted some data from an Excel Spreadsheet into a Word document. Some lines
have shown up in the pasted version that I don't want there. The lines are
not in the Excel data. How do I get rid of those lines?

The lines could be gridlines. Note that such lines won't print in Word.
