FIRST OFF DON'T CROSS POSTS NUMEROUS NEWSGROUPS!!! Do some research first before spamming these newsgroups, the vast majority are trying to get and give help to people that are actually in the process of making databases. If you want it for free (files for something you snagged off the web, go find them through a different method - google or kazaa or something).

Otherwise find a specific newsgroup devoted to giving software away for free, and ask there.

You can find some of the sample databases on my website:
http://www.viescas.com/Info/links.htm#Downloads. I'm surprised that the
Microsoft Press eBook doesn't link you there.

Would not the Microsoft Press book use the Northwind and/or Pubs databases as the example databases. These should have come as part of your original (legal) Install CD's for Office. Perhaps you did not load these sample databases to your machine.

Northwind? What's that? I NEVER use anything but original sample databases
in my books.

Mr. John Viecas,

Thanks for the info, that is good to know. Since I don't own the book, I was
making a wild guess to help Ahsan. Guess I guessed wrong and Guess he is out
of luck... and maybe in hot water.......

I'll take a look at your new book when it is available.
