Have to click twice to move to next slide

Hi - I'm using PowerPoint 2002. I have a slide show that has a number of
bullet items on each page. When I click and bring up the last bullet, I want
to move to the next slide - but the last bullet loads again, then I click
again and move to the next slide.

I checked the master slide - but don't find anything unusual - set to
Advance Slide on Mouse Click. Any suggestions?
 
So you mean the last bullet animated twice?
If so, go to the custom animation pane. Ensure that the last bullet does not
have two effects added to it. See if it helps.
