Hello community!
I have let a database of version 2.0 been converted to Access XP (2002). The
programmer said 'there are functions in Access 2.0 that are not available
anymore in version 2002'.
The subject also comes up in relation with the 'construction of a series
letter'.
That would mean that Microsoft has removed functions from one version to the
following. Unfortunately I am not a great Access programmer, so I can not
say if that is correct.
Maybe some more background information - with the old database (2.0) you
could draw up a series letter directly. In the new version of the database
firstly there is an Excel table been generated, than a word document uses
this table to generate the series letter.
I can not imagine that this method meets the Microsoft philosophy. It makes
the procedure a lot more complicated.
What is your experience? Have there been functions in Access 2.0 which you
have to find bypass-solutions for in Access XP as the functions are not
available anymore?
In advance thanks a lot for your answers.
