Hello,
I posted the "Can't view certain websites... the firewall maybe?" threat
this morning (I know it says Brian posted it-- I just didn't remember to
change it to my name). Anyways, I just found another problem. So, here it
is: (Running XP)
Whenever I go to cnet.com, the page loads just fine. BUT, if I click on any
link, then the page hangs.
- I've ran (all updates installed) CWShredder (first), Ad-Aware (second),
Spybot S&D (third), and I deleted what Ad-Aware found (the others didn't
find anything). Still no luck. Also, I renamed the HOSTS file, opened it
with Notepad-- seems OK. And still no luck.
- I also cleared out all the Temp files, cookies, history. And also, for the
"Check for newer versions of stored pages," the "Every visit to the page" is
checked. The TIF folder is set to 50MB.
- Then, I went to http://forum.aumha.org/viewforum.php?f=30 and did the
"Quick Fix" first. No luck so far.
- After trying the "Quick Fix," I got HijackThis, and I already posted my
results at http://forums.spywareinfo.com--> waiting for replies...

**After I ran CWShredder, Ad-Aware (this one found "possible browser hijack"
& I deleted it, btw), and Spybot S&D, I rebooted. And guess what? I opened
IE, and the homepage had changed to "msn.com" I usually have it as "blank."
This is the second time that's happened (yesterday was the first).
***And about the threat that I posted this morning is that I can't go to
this particular website (www.intercable.net.co)--> all I get is "The page
cannot be displayed" instead.

What else could I do? Thanks for all your help.
