Hi.
I am pretty desperate and need help.
This morning I opened MS outlook (2003) and got this message:
Bonjour tout le monde,

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook, Unable to open the Outlook window.
The set of folders could not be opened. The server is not available. Contact
your administrator if this condition persists"

I serached around on the net and found different way to fix, so I deleted
the Key Profiles Under the Key Windows Messaging .

I created a new profile.

Now I can open outlook and I get my mails, BUT I DON'T HAVE MY ADDRESS BOOK
nor my OLD MAILs!
Pelase help, I need the address book and teh mails.
Don't tell me I have lost everything!

Where can I find the files that contains the text?

So desperate!

Your old mail is contained in a *.pst file, possibly named outlook.pst
Within Outlook, select Personal Folders>Properties>Advanced.......check the
path & name of the current data file. Then, within Outlook, File>Open>Data
File....browse to and open any other data file.
All mail & contacts are contained within that file, copy stuff to the
current folder set

HI!

Thanks a lot for your mail! Really helpful.
I did what you suggested ans I was able to get in my new mailbox a part of
the old mails (although no 2008 mails).

The point is, I cannot find the .pst file! Incredible, it does not exist!
How come? Also when i run a serchn no result.
I also tried to run a repair but still cannot find my PST files! Is it
possible that everything is cancelled? But hten how come I recuperated few
mails?

Confused...sorry.

Can you help?

Hi!

THANKS THANSK THANSK.

I am DELIGHTED! I DID NOT find the file with the extension PST but I tried
to use the fixing tools on a file called OUTLOOK and I guess it was exactly
the .PST file.

I finally have all my mails and address. So happy. So happy!
