Why can't you go back to XP? Is someone forcing you to stay with Vista? Of
course you can go back to XP if you want to (unless you live in a communist
country and they forbid it) !

If you own a legitimate copy of XP you can easily return to it by booting
off the CD, format the drive and install it. If your computer came preloaded
with XP its probably on one of your System Restore CDs that came with PC.

First, how did you decide that you would ask a question where suggestions
are made?

Ask questions on the appropriate newsgroups and you can probably get your
problem(s) solved.

I can safely assume the main problem is between your chair and your
keyboard.

Most everything Microsoft produces sucks. The only time it won't suck is
when Microsoft starts selling vacuum cleaners.

Carey, I have read thru your posts. It seems that you have a negative view
on anyone who has differing views from yourself. I say if you cannot answer
the question in a polite manner, then utter no words. I must admit after
changing from XP to Vista I have found that hardly any of my USB devices like
too run together, so it seems VISTA "sucks" too coin a phrase. At least XP
SP2 inc. Autopatcher updates, is stable...ish...jesus I had to unplug my wifi
and USB scanner just too get the keyboard working just too log in....I use
all OS from 2000 (lol) to Vista and including Linux (all flavours). Basically
all operating systems suck, because the hardware sucks. Home computer
technology is still in its infancy...BTW can I have a copy of the OS mr Gates
uses, I bet he does not have too reinstall his os as many times as I have had
too do...my postal address will be forwared in receipt of acceptence...

Still using 2k/XP/Linux REDHAT 9/Knoppix 5.1/VISTA ULtimate
I do not moan, I just wait for the next service pack

What have the hardware manufacturers said when you asked about Windows
Vista compatibility?

While Service Pack 1 may resolve your issues, do not count on it.
The manufacturers of the hardware need to do whatever is necessary to
make their hardware function properly with an operating system.

It wouldn't be manufactured at all if it didn't work with an "Operating
System", how about MS designing an "Operating system" that actually
works with hardware?

Carey is a long time Retard (capital "r" intended). Go through Google for
several years, in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general and you'll get a
good representative sampling of his blatant stupidity.

What I almost find fascinating is that he's carrying the title "MVP" with
him. I'd sure not I would want to be associated with anyone of his level
of competence.

But most of the others might not care any more. After the plethora of
dimbots I've seen running around with that title, I doubt any of them
realize how demeaning it really must be to be tarred with it.

AFAIK all Microsoft operating systems as well as most other operating
systems "actually works with hardware"

Windows Vista works with a great deal of hardware.
More and more manufacturers are doing what they can to make their
hardware compatible with Windows Vista.

Do you expect an operating system to work with all hardware regardless
the intentions of the hardware manufacturer or the age of the
hardware?

If you have hardware issues, what have the hardware manufacturers said
when you asked about Windows Vista compatibility?
