Hardware Wizard for Non-Existing Printer

Folks,

OS: Win Xp Home Sp2. Hardware: M1100 Chembook laptop. Everytime I boot up,
the "Found New Hardware Wizard" starts up claiming that it wants to install
software for an attached Printer. Up until this point, I was trying to get
the Alps TouchPad operational by installing what I thought were drivers for
this device, but apparently these were drivers for an Alps Printer instead. I
don't know how to identify where this device has become queued for install,
and remove it. Any ideas?

Thanks,
BEA

found the problem, goto device manager, select option "show hidden devices",
then uninstall from main window. this rolled back the errant drivers.
