Hello,
I recently started a new job. I work from home and the office. At home I
need to be part of my work group to access printer etc.. At work I need to
log in to the domain.

Using hardawre profile doesn't seem to work for this. The PC name and
domain/work group seems to effect all hardware profiles.

Any ideas on how I can do this?

Why do you need to be part of your workgroup to access the resources on your
home network?
For that matter - why do you need to be part of your domain at work to
access the resources at work?
