Hardware problem

I am have problems with my cd drive (drive D) it wont play anything I can't
play cd's or even put in any program cd's . And when I go to my computer and
try to open it manaualy I get hour glass and nothing else happens. But the e
drive will play music cd's anyone know what to do ?????? I went to device
Manager does not show any problems please helpppppppp. Oh and both drives
came with computer

you can try a couple of things, check to make sure the cables are still
attached firmly
go to device manager and remove it and let windows reinstall it. If this
doesn't work my guess is you need a new drive.

Service Pack 1 I installed 2 awhile ago but it screwed up my comp had to take
it out.
