Hardisk running hard

Every day at 1pm. I can see the light of my hardisk flashing all the time
for about 20 to 30 minutes. I checked task manager and find the following
processes are using some CPU:
svhost.exe
ccmexec.exe
mcshield.exe

I checked there was no scheduled task at the time. I clean spyware at a
regular basis. So what's going on with my pc.

These are MS operating system processes and should be running.

mcshield.exe

This is part of McAfee Virusscan software and should also be running if you
use McAfee.

You can check the scheduled tasks in McAfee and see if it set to run a virus
scan at that time.
