harddrive partitions

I installed a WD 80 GB harddrive, then installed windows
XP. Got a message that I am running out of disk space,
checked disk manager and found that c drive is about 7 GB
and then a unformatted, unlettered partition with 64+
GB's that I can't access. Have tried to assign a letter
and format the partition with no luck.
Need to know how to be able to use this partition or
delete it so that C drive uses the entire hard drive.

Without a 3rd party app there is no way to add space to your C drive.

Technically, you can create mounted volume but you'd better reinstall XP and
repartition the disk during setup more carefully.
