Hard drive won't stop spinning

I can't seem to stop the hard drive from spinning. I set
the power management features to turn off the hard drives
after a short period of time, and they keep going all
night. I have this problem with XP and on another
computer with 2000.

Any ideas?

Hello

Does it create a problem, if the drive is spinning but their
are no errors and all seems to work fine, not need to
worry, I mean do you have any hardware issue with the drive

Have you turned on Indexing for the drive
