Hi all I just recently installed a new video card in my comp. and when
I start the comp. up it is not detecting the hard drive it tell me to
can't detected boot disk instert disk and press enter. I thought it was
the cables and made sure everything is was connected right and it was,
still nothing, I can feel it spinning up though. Here is the kicker I
put another hard drive in the comp. and it detected it. I tested the
other hard drives on another comp and it still didn't detect them. I
know it is prabably my hard drives are bad but I though somebody might
have something different to tell me. Any help would be good. Thanks

Have you checked you harddrive boot priority in CMOS? I'm not talking
about the section where you can chose cds & floppys, there is a section
in most modern bios that specifies which harddrive to boot from, I've
seen a hardware change reset that.

Hi Josh,
First, I'd remove the new video card and put in a different one and see what
happens.
If the drive isn't detected on two computers, then somethings wrong with it
unless there's something wrong with both computers. I'd try putting in as a
slave or a second cable select drive and see what happens.
