Hard drive full, windows XP sp 2

Hello,

I received an popup stating my C drive is full (8GB partition). I
checked the drive and found that the Windows folder is 5.66GB. I
opened the folder and selected all files/folders (even hidden) and
properties says only 2.93GB (within the folder). Are there super
hidden folders like in IE (such as content.ie5), or is there something
I am missing?

Try running the following command - from a command prompt - in the Windows
folder:

dir /a/s

What does it report?

it says 19878 files 2840 Directories
6,085,725,814 bytes
242,302,976 bytes free

What should I be looking for?
