Hard drive erase and reformat

I am trying erase my hard drive so I can start over from
fresh and reinstall my programs virus free. help

Insert your Windows XP CD, re-boot, make sure the BIOS knows that you want to boot from the CD (usually press Del or F2 to get into setup, go to boot options, say boot from CD), tell setup fresh install on current hard drive, etc. Find a friend or relative that knows how to do this and ask them to help you . . .
