Hard drive always busy

I had a trojen in my system. I got it deleted, but I
still have a major problem. The harddrive light is always
on, even though nothing is known to be running, and the
computer is working about 500 times slower. Checked task
manager, windows xp useage averages very low.

How can I determine which program(s) is accessing the
harddrive, or what can i do about it

run spybot search and destroy to find spyware and
associated files. Ad-aware 6.0 is also very good.
Those two are always recommended in this group.
Run Moosofts "The Cleaner" to
track down the trojan.
Use msconfig to manually inspect the startup items.
Make sure you know what's what and look for anything suspicious.
