Hard disk drive 1 failure

I'm getting this message after switching on my machine:
Error 8602-Auxiliary Device Failure.
Hard disk drive 1 failure
Strike the F1 to continue,F2 to run the setup utility

If i strike F1 or F2 nothing happens I tried F8 for safe mode but it
failed. So what could be the problem

Your hard disk has failed. Buy a replacement and
reload windows.

Disconnect the suspected hard drive from the PC, both power and ribbon
cables with power disconnected from PC at the AC outlet.

If Error 8602 reappears again, see here for probable fix under system
messages.

Try pressing the F-Lock key.. this should release the F keys to their normal
duties..
