I have a computer club member's Dell desktop computer that has the following
message on startup:
"Secondary Hard Disk Drive 0 not found... Press F1 to continue. "

In attempting to cure an exceedingly slow Windows XP SP2 system. I have
updated with all critical and optional updates. I have removed 478 malware
programs using AVG Anti-Spyware. 14 "nasties" using Hijackthis.

Any clues?

You mean, after the "POST" test, before XP loads, I presume?
Does the computer *have* a Hard Disk Drive on the secondary?
May need to correct settings for drive(s) [in BIOS].

I'd reinstall. Little chance of proper operation.

Problem solved. I opened the case, and pressed on all cabling. Something
must have been loose. Has worked fine for the past 24 hours.

Thank you!
