Hang on inserted movie clip

I have a clip inserted into a presentation that hangs
before it opens. It is set for click to run. Presentation
locks up for 20 to 30 seconds if file format is MP2 or 10
to 15 seconds if file format is mpeg. Any way to speed
this up?
 
How big are the video files?
